Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 8 amβ5 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. This course was impeccable!!! Great layout, conditions and service. However, it is difficult. Greens lightning fast . Thick rough. Fun day, though.

Joined three months back. Haven't had an opportunity to enjoy all the amenities yet. However, the brunches, the golf (awesome course), available tee times, and weight room have all proven to rise above my expectations. Wendy, my wife, and I are looking forward to making ourselves available to all of the events and activities once we start spending more time at our home in Porters Neck. Though only a vacation home for now, we always knew joining the club was an absolute, as we will retire here soon. Home at the club is amazing

We are so happy to have chosen Porters Neck Country Club as our wedding venue! It is such a spectacular place with fantastic amenities, stellar food and outstanding service! Their Events Director, Pallas, was such a delight to work with. Pallas was timely, responsive, professional, creative and her experience in event planning was incredibly helpful! The entire process was smooth and stress-free all thanks to Pallas and her team. Everything was absolutely perfect the night of our wedding: the plated dinner (delicious!), the beautifully decorated ballroom (wow!), the order of events, the dance floor, the hors dβoeuvres (yum!), drinks, service, etc. Pallas made sure that everyone was taken care of, including my husband and I. For instance, she made sure that my husband and I ate dinner and she took care of any and all possible stressors regarding the wedding reception portion. We could not be more pleased with such extraordinary service and experience! Even our wedding guests raved about how amazing everything turned out. Thank you, Pallas and all of the Porters Neck staff, for everything you did to make our special day one to remember! <3 Pallas, you are a rockstar! TH
